I’ve recently noticed the magic of large groups of people enjoying the same experience. I think this is why people like concerts so much.
In the case of Fox and Bear, they are watching a "Great Conjunction” when many of us walked outside to see Jupiter and Saturn cross paths and become a giant winter star. We — the world, you, me — had been joined together while nesting in our homes and waiting for a pandemic to break. We were ready for a little wonder.
When I created this in December 2020, I was struck that so many people were outside on this crisp winter evening, all paying attention to the vast universe at the same time.
